The answers below describe what currently works. We do not list anything that is not built.
Is DexterLearn paid?
There is a free plan and you can try it without registering. The paid plans are Study, Pro, Pro Family and Premium. Study is 30 TRY a month, 1 TRY for the first month.
What is in the free plan?
The CEFR roadmap, daily word and sentence practice, the review system, grammar lessons and 3 chapter credits a day (one returns every 4 hours). All stories are open and you can look up 5 word meanings a day. There is also one try without an account.
Why is the first month 1 TRY?
So that you can use the full Study plan for a month before deciding. The first month is 1 TRY and the following months are 30 TRY. You can cancel at any time.
Can I prepare for IELTS, and which sections are there?
There are IELTS Reading (academic) and IELTS Listening sets. In reading sets you read a passage and answer questions; in listening sets the recording plays once. There is no IELTS Writing or Speaking exam module. Details are on the IELTS page.
Is there TOEFL?
There are TOEFL Reading sets, up to CEFR C1. There is no TOEFL listening, speaking or writing module. Details are on the TOEFL page.
What ages is it for?
The age bands are 4-6, 7-9, 10-13 and 14 plus. Material at the same level arrives with different examples depending on age. The exam sections continue from the 14 plus band.
Is there speaking practice?
Yes. Spoken conversation with the RoRo teacher (beta): it listens, answers and speaks with lip sync. There are 275 scenarios between A1 and B1, on topics including family, weather, asking directions, a restaurant, a shop, meeting someone and a cafe. Free talk is there too. You can pick the Class Teacher or the Student Sister. It is not an exam module and gives no score.
Is it the same account on phone and computer?
Yes. The account is shared between web and phone; a chapter you do on a computer shows up on the phone.
Can I buy from an iPhone?
Not for now. The subscription starts in the Android app and payment goes through Google Play. There is no purchase from an iPhone or a computer. If you already have an account you can still use the content on those devices.
How many people are in the family plan?
Pro Family is a shared plan for more than one person. It is 150 TRY a month and 1.350 TRY a year. The number of people is shown in the plan description on Google Play.
How do I cancel the subscription?
You cancel from your Google Play account, not from inside the app. Open Subscriptions in Play, pick DexterLearn and cancel; your access continues to the end of the period.
Who makes it?
DexterLearn is a TRIAMIND product. The Android app is on Google Play as "DexterLearn: İngilizce+Sınav", package name com.triamind.dexterlearn.
